Welcome to my Web site!
I received my first pocket knife and started whittling at about
age nine, where I was raised in Cody,
Wyoming. During my eight years of military service, I was fortunate to be able to see many types of carving styles,
in different countries. I am fascinated with the variations of woodcarving throughout the world. I started carving seriously in the early
70’s, and have continued learning new methods for the last thirty years. My favorite things to work on are:
Caricatures, Wood spirits, Santa Clauses, and Jewelry in exotic woods. I have been teaching beginning and intermediate carving classes, for several years. I began making knives, in order to supply sharp tools for students. I am currently teaching classes in my home, Including beginning woodcarving, and carving faces or wood spirits in cottonwood bark, driftwood, and local
woods. One of my greatest rewards is teaching, and sharing the joy of woodcarving. |
