Sharpening Strops

Strops are !/2 in birch plywood 1 3/4 in wide x 10 in long.  One side is top grain leather (rough side out), the other side is 1200 grit wet or dry sandpaper, held on with double sided tape.  They come with a tube of honing compound and an extra piece of 1200 grit sandpaper.

Carving Gloves

Kevlar gloves are cut resistant and have a crisscross rubber overlay giving a good grip.  These gloves can be cut but are a good alternative to expensive Stainless Steel wire gloves.

Marking Gage

Height marking gage will mark up to 12 in high.  Very handy for getting symmetrical lines on figure carvings or marking around turned or sawn blanks.
